The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has launched its new sector survey, aimed at understanding the working lives and views of public relations professionals.

After a one-year hiatus, the 'State of the Profession 2024' survey returns to capture practitioner thoughts and experiences on the health of the PR industry. The survey explores the skills landscape, its commitment to professional development, views on the reputation of PR, and how the profession is adapting to the rapid proliferation of AI tools.

The insight gathered supports the CIPR to guide its policy agenda, benchmark and assess how the profession has changed and adapted in recent years, and gives industry intelligence for the Institute to make effective representations to business, partners, and legislators.

The survey is open to all, takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and all participants can choose to be entered into a draw for a £100 gift card.

CIPR President, Rachael Clamp commented: “The State of the Profession survey is a crucial tool for understanding how our industry is evolving and adapting to new challenges and an uncertain economic landscape. By reacting to the data, we can deliver better member benefits and advocacy programmes to support practitioners. By taking part, you'll help us benchmark standards, shape our policies, and support us to effectively represent the PR profession during this time of change. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and share it with your colleagues. Your input is invaluable.”
