JBP Communications is a dynamic, award-winning communications agency with 41 years of experience at the forefront of media, public affairs, and stakeholder strategy. From our base in Westminster, we work on high-profile, politically sensitive campaigns across culture, transport, energy, infrastructure, and the built environment, helping organisations influence change and tell stories that matter.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, ambitious Senior Account Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the UK’s most impactful clients - from major corporates and developers to trade bodies and public sector organisations - across projects that are shaping the places we live, move, and work.

You’ll take ownership of client relationships, lead strategic campaigns, and be part of a collaborative team that thrives on sharp thinking, creativity, and meaningful results. There is also the opportunity to grow your leadership skills, mentor junior colleagues, and develop a specialism aligned to your interests.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading strategic public affairs campaigns and building trusted relationships with senior clients
  • Providing insightful political and media advice that drives outcomes
  • Supporting business development and growth, including pitching and networking
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members
  • Planning and delivering high-impact events and stakeholder engagement
  • Horizon-scanning for risks and opportunities in the political and media landscape
  • Creating and overseeing compelling content, from consultation responses to briefings and reports
  • Managing budgets and helping steer the growth of our Westminster office

What we're looking for:

  • A strong background in public affairs, either agency-side, in-house or in government
  • Confident in developing and executing strategy across complex issues
  • Understanding of UK parliamentary processes; experience with trade associations or devolved administrations a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Media relations and PR experience would be a distinct advantage
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to spot and seize opportunities
  • Passionate about politics, current affairs, and driving change

Why JBP?

We’re not your typical agency. We combine the strategic thinking of a consultancy with the energy of a start-up. We’re mission-driven, work collaboratively, and offer an exciting environment to work. You’ll work alongside a smart, supportive team and with clients who are transforming sectors that matter - from net zero infrastructure to transport.
