Curtin&Co has today announced that Labour Councillor for Brent Council, Sam Stopp, has joined its public affairs team as an Account Executive.

Councillor Stopp currently holds positions within the youth wings of the GMB, Young Labour and the Young Fabians. He is also a member of the Co-operative Party and is the Labour Link Officer for the LGO branch of UNISON.

Stopp joins Curtin&Co from Four Communications where he spent a year as a Public Affairs Consultant. He had previously worked as a Freelance Reporter for DeHavilland.

Earlier this year the specialists in community liaison, local government politics and media relations also added Paul Church, a councillor on Westminster City Council, to its ranks.

Speaking about their latest addition, Curtin&Co’s Chief Executive Tom Curtin said: “Sam is a great addition to our team and will continue to strengthen our expertise in central London.  His experience means he understands the most pertinent issues facing the development industry from all levels of government and we have no doubt that his advice will greatly benefit our clients and their projects.”

Managing Director Catherine Senda added: “Curtin&Co has always sought to hire the best politicians from local government and Sam joining continues to strengthen our team.  We are delighted to welcome him to the team and to strengthen our Labour credentials across London even further.”
