In April 2016, L&Q, The Hyde Group and East Thames entered into merger talks with a view to creating one of the country’s top four largest house builders and the largest provider of affordable homes in the country. The merger is likely to be completed by the end of 2016.
Together, the three organisations will be able to build 100,000 new homes across London and the wider South East - 35,000 more than they could have achieved alone - representing an investment of £25 billion over the next ten years.
With the announcement now made, the communications priority shifts to managing the period up to formal amalgamation.
The objective for this communications project is therefore to support a successful merger between L&Q, the Hyde Group and East Thames.
We are looking for a PR agency that can help us to:
- Promote the key benefits of the merger to identified stakeholder groups;
- Ensure that we emphasise the social benefits of the merger;
- Present a united front / support a collaborative partnership approach to PR;
- Avoid/manage all PR risks.
We expect the appointed agency to support the merger partners until April 2017.
