In a month where Liverpool emerged as genuine title contenders, the PubAffairs Fantasy Football league begins to look like a foregone conclusion as Joshua Willison (Partnership Manager, The Crown Estate) extends his lead at the top. March saw Willison double his lead over long-term rival David Leach (Government Affairs Manager, Marks and Spencer).

Andrew Lewin (Associate Director, Fishburn Hedges) and Ryan Wain (Brand Development Manager, TBWALondon) leap-frog Neeraj Shah into 3rd and 4th as Lorna Russell (Account Manager, Lansons) and Jimmy McLoughlin (Associate Partner, Bell Pottinger) return to the top ten having dropped out last month. Unsurprisingly, the top five all feature both Suarez and Sturridge and the former is Captain of nine of the top teams as he overtook Robbie Fowler as the Liverpool player with the most goals in a season in the Premier League with his 29th goal.

Dominic Gates (Parliamentary Affairs Manager, Industry and Parliament Trust) accumulated the highest number of points this month, making him the March Manager of the Month. His team, like so many others, featured Liverpool’s free-scoring front two, but the English trio of Rodriguez, Lallana and Shaw added an impressive 82 points to his total of 410 as they look to make Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad.
