Westminster Advisers has announced it has hired Mark Cazaly to support the continued growth of its financial services and energy practices.

Cazaly leaves his current role as Head of Government Affairs at Energy UK to take up his new post at Westminster Advisers as an Account Director in June. As a senior consultant in the business, he will focus on offering strategic policy and communications advice to clients in heavily regulated sectors.

Prior to his time at Energy UK, Cazaly spent over two years as government affairs adviser at the British Bankers’ Association before becoming adviser to its Chief Executive, gaining valuable insights into the financial services markets and public policy landscape. He has also spent time in the Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Research Unit, working across HM Treasury, BIS, and Work and Pensions.

The new appointment comes on the back of several high-profile client wins for Westminster Advisers in 2016, as well as double digit growth in 2015.

Mark Cazaly said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Westminster Advisers team. The consultancy is going from strength to strength and I look forward to supporting the development of their financial services and energy practices.”

Dominic Church, Managing Director of Westminster Advisers commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Mark to the Westminster Advisers team. Our financial services offering has experienced sustained growth in recent months and we fully expect this to continue as a result of Mark’s extensive background, network and experience. Mark’s credentials in both financial services and energy will help bolster our existing expertise in these sectors, a key source of growth for us over recent years. We’re hugely excited to have him on the team.”
