Copper Consultancy, part of the RSK Group is currently recruiting for an Account Director to join their progressive team. The role is offered on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will live within commutable distance to the Bristol office and flexible working is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profitability and productivity of a portfolio of client accounts/projects within your specific practice area;
  • Responsible for development and execution of account strategy in relation to your client/project portfolio;
  • Provide trusted strategic advice that protects and enhances client reputations including on brand message development, language and tone of voice;
  • Line management responsibility for junior employees, which includes day to day workload planning, allocation and monitoring, ownership of the PDR process relating to direct reports, management of any performance issues (with support from HR where required);
  • Takes a leading and active role in delivery of new business pitches and tenders;
  • Responsible for the proactive development and delivery of marketing activity in line with the practice business plan.

Person Specification

  • Entrepreneurial consultancy skillset with the ability to think strategically and to balance delivery and attention to detail with innovation and achievement;
  • Experience in creation and delivery of communications and engagement strategies including media relations and public affairs;
  • Highly articulate (oral and written) with the interpersonal skills necessary to win business, build relationships and become a trusted advisor throughout project strategy and delivery;
  • Politically astute with a working knowledge of the UK’s political structures (national, devolved, regional and local) and their political drivers;
  • A strong people manager who can manage performance, programmes, workloads and budgets to meet challenging client expectations whilst nurturing career development and wellbeing;
  • Acts with integrity at all times, leading by example, acting openly, honestly and ethically.
