The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

What we are looking for

You will have experience working in a PR and communications role within an agency, with client experience in healthcare and / or the pharmaceutical sector. We’re looking for someone who works within a high performing team in a commercial environment.

  • PR experience, with some gained in agency;
  • Maintaining and growing a valuable portfolio of key clients across the healthcare sector;
  • Demonstrate drive, commitment, and a focus to producing work of the highest standard;
  • Exceptional workload management and a good team player;
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills;
  • The ability to think strategically and develop new business proposals, tender responses and client strategies and engagement plans;
  • Strong inter-personal skills and the ability to work across client and internal teams to develop strong and lasting relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • A knowledge of the ABPI guidelines is useful but not essential.

What you’ll need to do

A lead relationship holder across a portfolio of clients, responsible for the delivery of exceptional PR, communications, and engagement services across healthcare, pharmaceuticals and scientific sectors.   You are accountable for the effective and profitable delivery of projects for clients, which will be a mix of corporate, patient focussed, HCP and consumer work.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Leading a number of accounts across Healthcare, both in the UK and internationally;
  • Supporting and leading the delivery of current client work including media relations, stakeholder communications, patient advocacy work and content development;
  • Playing a significant role in completing tenders, presentations and client pitches;
  • Supporting with new business growth across the Healthcare sector;
  • Working with the Directors to analyse the market, develop new offerings and products/services;
  • Working in a flexible way to provide support in line with client and new business demands.
