WA Communications is looking for a new Account Executive to join our industry-leading, award-winning health team recently named a Communique consultancy of the year for a fifth successive time. This is an ideal position for an ambitious new consultant. You’ll get involved across our health client base in life sciences, medtech and the charity sector, broaden your communications skills and gain experience in business development. You’ll play your part in our growing team, solving client problems, delivering creative and purposeful campaigns, and producing audience research and insights to shape communications programmes. You’ll expand your expertise across a range of channels, including media relations and social comms, driving communications and engagement to reach a wide range of influential stakeholders, including journalists, commentators, patients, policymakers and healthcare professionals. ROLE SPECIFICATION & RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll likely be a recent graduate or in your early career with a genuine interest in healthcare and health issues. Qualities we value include:

  • Good understanding of communications and policymaking, and awareness of health themes and trends
  • Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate complex health policy, regulatory and commercial issues
  • A clear and engaging writing style, and ability to adapt your style depending on audience and platform
  • A client-centric attitude that prizes accessibility, responsiveness and quality
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills
  • Organisation and planning, time management and attention to detail
  • Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn
  • Desire to develop strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Consideration and care for colleagues
  • Experience in communications consultancy, media, parliament, a charity or another related organisation welcome not essential
