Growing consultancy seeks talented Head of Public Affairs

You’re an experienced public affairs professional seeking something more than just another role. You know what good looks like, you’re comfortable taking the lead, and you’re motivated by work that genuinely matters.

We’re a small business with big ambitions, seeking someone who wants to grow with us. We’re offering a salary of between £55,000 - £65,000, along with an attractive package, but believe everything is negotiable for the right person.

Together, we’ll lead public affairs for a multimillion-pound behaviour change campaign and build a different kind of public affairs practice alongside our existing communications consultancy and coaching offer.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a public affairs professional looking to make a real difference. As well as being part of a growing, ambitious business, you will lead political engagement for an exciting new multimillion-pound behaviour change campaign.

Lead political engagement for an important high-profile marketing campaign set to launch this summer:

  • Build strategic partnerships with political stakeholders, including local MPs, community groups, NGOs and environmental bodies
  • Lead political engagement and represent the [Delivery Body] in external and parliamentary events
  • Develop and oversee briefings, consultation materials, and public-facing content and maintain a CRM database of key interactions, outcomes, and influence levels
  • Identify reputational risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation and positioning.
  • Manage feedback loops to inform programme delivery

Build Moxy Communications’ public affairs practice alongside our existing consultancy and coaching offer:

  • Lead the development of a new business pipeline supporting senior public affairs leaders, securing new work and clients;
  • Lead day-to-day public affairs and stakeholder engagement advice and delivery for clients, building trusted relationships;
  • Provide high-quality political insight and analysis relevant to client objectives, ensuring that work is delivered on time, to a high standard and regularly evaluated;
  • Ensure all activity complies with lobbying and transparency rules, maintaining strong ethical judgement in politically sensitive environments;
  • Play an active role in the team, halping to prmote our positioning and living our values.

Location:

We are based in Putney, well connected by the train and tube, and a short walk from both the high street, Wandsworth Park and the River Thames. This is a hybrid role based at our offices three times a week (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) alongside regular time spent in Westminster/London.

Salary:

We are offering a salary of between £55,000 - £65,000 along with an attractive package:

  • 10% performance-related bonus;
  • 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays;
  • Century Club membership.

This is negotiable depending on the candidate and experience.
