What you can expect
We are seeking a Policy Analyst to support our UK Advocacy team on Industrial Strategy and Brexit work. This post will deal with current issues, specifically developing robust public positions to support our engagement with Government and Industry bodies on the build up to Brexit, and in support of UK Industrial Strategy.
- You will be responsible for monitoring, data sourcing, analysis, position development, and report writing;
- You will contribute to developing policy ideas, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement as the needs of the business require;
- You will liaise with BASF offices & sites, including Brussels, and trade bodies, including the Chemistry Growth Partnership;
- You will report to the Head of UK Public Affairs, and be based in the City of London Office.
What we expect
- You are educated ideally with a Bachelor's degree (preferably a Masters too) in economics, international business, political science, or a related field;
- You have excellent knowledge of the UK political processes and institutions;
- You have proven professional experience in the field;
- You have excellent written and spoken English and are a confident communicator in this language;
- You have superb organisation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task on different projects;
- You have good software skills for data processing, report-writing, and presentations;
- Knowledge of and experience working with EU institutions is desirable, as is any additional language.
