POLITICO Pro seeks experienced, talented and smart candidates who work proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development and achievement. The Client Development Manager position is a mid-level sales position with the primary objective of managing existing subscriber accounts; including serving as the client’s main point of contact, building relationships and growing revenue.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage on-boarding and account setup for new POLITICO Pro subscribers;
  • Create individual, results-oriented, customer-service first account plans to maximize subscriber value;
  • Grow depth and breadth of accounts while securing renewals;
  • Represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferences;
  • Solicit client feedback, and demonstrate a collaborative approach in working with product, editorial and new business teams to ensure an excellent client experience;
  • Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • significant professional experience, including business-to-business sales or account management;
  • Experience with the U.K. market and managing client relationships;
  • Excellent communication skills, entrepreneurial mind set and strong client service ethic;
  • Exposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools is preferred;
  • Interest in and understanding of current political and policy issues is a plus;
  • A university degree is required.

This is full-time, office-based, maternity cover position - a 12-month contract with a chance to be extended or to go permanent, located in London and involves some travel around the UK and Western Europe.
