The list of major UK transport issues has for a while been topped by HS2 and the expansion of airport capacity in the South East. Now new worries about the winter resilience of the transport network, cycling safety, helicopter safety and others are crowding onto the agenda.
A concern of business is whether the UK is losing the capability to address key transport problems and get them resolved in a timely and cost-effective way. The Transport Select Committee is heavily engaged in overseeing such issues.
Come and hear Louise Ellman, Chair of the committee, give her views on pressing current issues and progress in resolving them, and participate in the subsequent discussion.
