WA’s latest guide to engaging with the Labour Party examines the people and policies that will shape the next government if the party wins power. Our analysis includes:

  • Working with YouGov to analyse the electorate that would deliver a Labour Majority, and the implications for the direction of policy;
  • Looking at the next generation of Labour MPs, to understand the profiles and priorities of the candidates likely to be elected;
  • How organisations should navigate the media in an election year;
  • Setting out how the civil service prepare for the transition of power; and the first 100 days after the election;
  • Mapping Labour’s progress on developing its policy platform, and the organisations including trade unions, think tanks, and forums that are shaping the party’s thinking.

The Shape of a Labour Government is the second of our Next Left reports, following 2023’s Guide to Engaging with the Labour Party, which took an early look at the people and processes shaping the opposition’s policymaking.
