Rud Pedersen and Tekir join forces to create a Finnish powerhouse in public affairs and strategic communications

Rud Pedersen Finland, part of Europe’s foremost strategic public affairs firm, and Tekir, a well-established consultancy in demanding communications in Finland, have announced the merger of the two companies. By uniting their respective strengths, the combined firm becomes a top-tier powerhouse in public affairs and strategic communications. With more than 60 local experts, the firm will deliver integrated 360-degree communications and public affairs counsel, providing hands-on advisory support across Finland, alongside European reach and scale.

Rud Pedersen Finland and Tekir are both recognized as leading consultancies, trusted by clients across a wide range of industries. Their teams bring together experienced professionals with deep expertise in business, government, and society, providing clients with clear strategic guidance and on ground support. This merger will accelerate growth, strengthening the combined firms’ ability to deliver even greater impact and success for its clients.

Looking ahead, clients will benefit from a broader and more complementary range of services, supported by deep expertise across key industries, societal issues and stakeholder relations. The combined firm will provide clearer strategic guidance, more tailored solutions and practical support for navigating complex challenges. Clients will also gain seamless access to Europe’s political and commercial markets and perspectives through Rud Pedersen’s offices in 19 countries across Europe, ensuring clients’ public affairs and communications strategies are both locally effective and internationally informed.

Rud Pedersen Finland has acquired full ownership of Tekir from its founder, Harri Saukkomaa, and other shareholders. Saukkomaa will continue with the company in the role of Senior Advisor and Board Member.

At the outset, Rud Pedersen Finland and Tekir will continue to operate independently. The two companies are scheduled to merge into a single entity during 2026.
