Cicero/AMO are looking for an Account Manager to join our fast-growing and award-winning UK Public Affairs team.

In this role, the successful candidate will develop and enhance client relationships whilst also overseeing the overall direction and delivery of client activity across a variety of sections including Financial Services, Technology, Energy, Transport and Infrastructure. This role requires the ability to motivate and engage account teams to deliver outstanding performance and service to clients.

Cicero/AMO is an integrated communications agency based in London, Brussels and Dublin and is part of one of the world’s largest communications groups, Havas.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Account Management:

  • Responsibility for developing and delivering day-to-day client deliverables;
  • Responsibility for quality control;
  • Responsibility for working with account colleagues on resource management day-to-day;
  • Maintain day-to-day overview of account, and proactively advise client on new;
  • issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetings with client;
  • Ensure resourcing within the account is appropriate.

Client liaison:

  • Maintaining excellent relations with client at working level;
  • Identify and deliver on opportunities to expand Cicero’s service offerings to clients;
  • Support client marketing and retention;
  • Organise regular and timely meetings with colleagues to ensure service levels are maintained.

Business development:

  • Help develop opportunities for growing existing business;
  • Assist with development and presentation of new business opportunities.

Professional relations:

  • Responsibility for building and maintaining key relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and policy makers;
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity in presenting new ideas.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant parliamentary knowledge & understanding as well as interest;
  • Demonstrable experience in a relatable role (preferably with some prior consultancy experience);
  • Interpersonal and communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with team members, key audiences and clients in written and verbal formats;
  • A client and commercial focus;
  • Highly competent in all written communications;
  • Highly competent in verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrate ability to research and analyse;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Organisation and prioritisation;
  • Ability and desire to continuously learn new areas of policy;
