Interel has announced the opening of a Beijing office to join their expanding global practice. The new office will provide the capability for both international clients in China, and Chinese clients investing internationally.
Interel now has its own offices in Brussels, Washington DC, London, Paris, Berlin and New Delhi as well as China.
The new office will be headed by experienced communications professional Mark Pinner. Before joining Interel he worked for Chinese MNC Lenovo in Beijing, where he built up their international communications capability. Prior to this he held several public affairs consultancy positions in London and Beijing, having honed his political expertise working for the British Conservative Party in the UK Parliament. Pinner speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Speaking about the new office, Fredrik Lofthagen, Interel Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of the China office and to welcome Mark to the team.
“This move reflects the growing demand from multinational businesses for government relations and public affairs services in China. Following the opening of our India office two years ago, this step also shows our commitment to building our business in Asia.”
Mark Pinner, Interel China’s Managing Partner, said: “I’m excited to join Interel’s impressive team and be part of their global expansion. Given Interel’s client base and expertise it’s the right moment to expand into China, while their global reach is perfect for the needs of Chinese companies investing abroad. I look forward to delivering solutions for both international investors in China and Chinese companies around the world.”
