Tipik Communication, a Sword Group company, has announced the appointment of Gökçe Kalayci as its new Managing Director. Kalayci brings a wealth of experience in communication and business development and will be instrumental in driving the agency's growth in the coming years.

Tipik and Sword Group Benelux CEO, Dieter Rogiers, said: "With her proven track record and expertise, Gökçe Kalayci is the right leader to drive the next growth phase for Tipik. She will be instrumental in further developing perspectives for our business."

Commenting on her appointment, Kalayci said: "I thank the Sword Group Board of Directors for their trust as we embark on this new chapter. Life as we know it is changing at rapid speed, and we are confronted with challenges like never before. As an agency with a long-standing experience connecting the EU institutions with European citizens, Tipik has an important role to play. Leveraging our deep understanding of the European communications landscape, we will continue crafting impactful solutions to help the EU connect with people. I will draw on my experience in strategic communications and business development, and with Tipik's talented people, we will further develop Tipik as a client-oriented and sustainable organisation."

Tipik is a prominent player in the EU communications market, providing end-to-end communication services to public institutions and international organisations, most notably the EU institutions. The agency is one of the EU's main communication partners, helping to reach out to 450 million European citizens across all regions. Leading some of the most critical communication contracts of the EU, Tipik's strength lies in its expertise in strategic communication activities development.

The appointment of Kalayci marks a significant milestone in the company's growth ambition. Kalayci succeeds the outgoing Managing Director, Erik Morren, who headed the organisation from 2012 to 2022, including the years of uncertainty caused by the global pandemic.

With over 20 years of experience in strategic communication for EU institutions and other organisations, Kalayci successfully served as a member of Tipik's Management Team from 2018 to 2022. Having designed the most extensive corporate campaigns for the EU, Kalayci also taught Campaign Design Methodology for the Executive Master in European Public Affairs Communications at IHECS. Before joining Tipik, Kalayci worked in various roles in large scale and reputable agencies in Brussels and Istanbul. A former journalist, Kalayci holds a master's degree in European Studies from the University of Leiden.
